LEGAL TRANSPARENCY

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 1, 2026

1. Our Commitment to Transparency

Caturity ("we," "our," or "us") operates a verified registry and intelligence platform for the development sector. Because our mission is centered on trust, we handle your data with the highest degree of editorial and professional integrity. This policy explains how we collect and protect information across our Map, Registry, and Hub.

2. Data Collection & Verification

NGO & Partner Profiles

When an organisation registers for a Verification Tier, we collect:

  • Registration documentation (CAC certificates, SCUML, etc.)
  • Operational data (LGA coverage, sector focus, staff strength)
  • Financial transparency indicators and impact reports
  • Professional contact details for authorized representatives

Public Registry Listings (Tier 0)

Certain Tier 0 listings on Caturity are sourced from publicly available registries (such as the Corporate Affairs Commission) and publicly accessible web sources. These listings are compiled under a legitimate interest basis for the purpose of development coordination across Nigeria, in accordance with Section 30 of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

Information included in public-source listings is limited to what is already publicly available: organisation name, sector, region of operation, and publicly listed contact details. These listings are clearly marked with an attribution line: “Listed from public sources.”

Organisations and individuals named in these listings have the right to claim, edit, or request removal of their profile at any time. See Section 5 below for details.

User Interaction Data

We track profile view counts and search patterns to provide “Citizen Pulse” reporting and to help organisations understand their visibility within the CSR and Diaspora funding communities.

3. How We Use Information

Your data is used specifically to:

  • Populate the Caturity Live Map for funding coordination.
  • Assign and audit Verification Tiers (0 through 3).
  • Generate "Vantage Point" briefs for strategic donors.
  • Facilitate verified connections between NGOs and corporate partners.

4. Data Sharing & Visibility

As a public coordination platform, certain organisational data (Mission, Sector, Location) is visible to all users. Sensitive verification documents are restricted to Caturity's internal audit team and authorized "Strategic Partner" accounts. We do not sell your data to third-party marketing agencies.

5. Your Rights

Organisations retain the right to update their profiles or request removal from the registry at any time. Please note that removal may affect your historical verification status if you choose to re-list in the future.

Public-Source Listings

If your organisation appears on Caturity as a Tier 0 listing sourced from public data, you may:

  • Claim your profile to take ownership and manage it directly.
  • Edit any information that is inaccurate or outdated.
  • Remove the listing entirely from our platform.

To exercise any of these rights, use the Claim, Edit, or Remove links on the profile page, or email support@caturity.com with the organisation name and your request. We will action all requests within 48 hours and send a confirmation once complete.

Contact Person Rights

If you are named as a contact person on an organisation profile, you may request that your personal details (name, email, phone number) be updated or removed independently of the organisation record. Email support@caturity.com with the subject line “Contact Person Data Request” and we will process your request within 48 hours.

For inquiries regarding our data handling or the verification audit process, please contact our transparency team at support@caturity.com.
